Privacy Policy

अन्तिम अद्यावधिक · Last updated: 2 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Sauji collects when you use the Sauji mobile app and website (https://saujiapp.com), why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Sauji is a business record-keeping and ordering app for retailers and wholesalers in Nepal. By creating a Sauji account you agree to this policy.

१. हामी कस्तो जानकारी लिन्छौँ · 1. Information we collect

Account information: your mobile number, owner name, business name (Nepali and English), business type, business category, address (province, district, city, ward), optional PAN/VAT number, optional business logo, and an optional recovery email address.

Business records you enter: products, prices, stock levels, sales, invoices, expenses, purchases, orders placed with wholesalers, credit (udharo) balances, customer names and phone numbers you choose to record, and notes.

Documents you upload: verification documents such as a business registration certificate or licence, uploaded only when you choose to.

Technical information: sign-in timestamps, device platform, app version, and error diagnostics needed to keep the app working. We do not run advertising trackers.

Voice input: if you use voice entry, the audio you record is sent to our speech processing service to convert it to text for that entry. We do not keep voice recordings after the text has been produced.

२. किन प्रयोग गर्छौँ · 2. How we use information

We use your information only to operate Sauji: to sign you in, to store and display your business records, to deliver your orders to the wholesaler you selected, to produce invoices and reports, to send you in-app reminders and daily summaries, to verify your business, to provide support you request, and to protect accounts from abuse.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your business records for advertising or profiling.

३. सरकार वा कर कार्यालयमा रिपोर्ट गर्दैनौँ · 3. No automatic reporting to authorities

Sauji does not automatically report your sales, income, stock, invoices or any other business data to Nepal's Inland Revenue Department, any tax authority, or any other government body. Nothing is transmitted to any authority on your behalf. You remain solely responsible for your own tax filings. We disclose data only where we are legally compelled by a valid, lawful order, and only the specific data required.

४. कसले देख्न सक्छ · 4. Who can see your data

Your shop's records are private to your account. Other Sauji users cannot read them. When you place an order, the wholesaler you ordered from sees your business name, mobile number, delivery address and the order contents — this is necessary to fulfil the order.

When you browse wholesalers, you see only limited public business details (name, logo, general location, product categories and contact number). Precise coordinates and internal account details of other businesses are never exposed.

Sauji staff access account data only when needed for support, verification or abuse investigation, and such access is logged.

५. सेवा प्रदायकहरू · 5. Service providers

Sauji runs on trusted infrastructure providers that host our database, file storage, authentication and application servers, and provide speech-to-text and AI summary features. They process data strictly on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. Data may be stored on servers outside Nepal.

६. कति समय राख्छौँ · 6. Data retention

Business records are kept while your account is active, because they are your books. You control invoice history retention in the app (Settings → Data): choose 30, 90, 180 or 365 days, or keep records forever. You may also clear invoice history manually at any time. Deleting invoice history does not change your stock or sales reports unless you choose that option.

If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and business records within 30 days, except records we must retain to resolve a dispute or to comply with law.

७. सुरक्षा · 7. Security

Access is protected by password authentication and per-account database security rules, so one account cannot read another account's data. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; Sauji staff cannot read your password. Sales and stock movement records are write-protected so financial history cannot be silently deleted. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

८. रिकभरी इमेल · 8. Recovery email

A recovery email is optional. If you provide one, it is used only to send you a password reset link and important account-security notices — never for marketing. You can add, change or remove it any time from your profile. If you do not provide one, we cannot email you a reset link and you must contact support to regain access.

९. तपाईंको अधिकार · 9. Your rights

You may view and correct your business information in the app, export or delete invoice history, and remove your recovery email at any time.

Deleting your account: you can delete your Sauji account yourself, inside the app, from More → Data Management → Delete account. Deletion happens immediately: your name, mobile number, email, photos, shop name, address, map location, payment QR and PAN/VAT details are permanently removed and your login is deleted. Only anonymous sales and stock totals remain, because Nepali accounting rules require business records to be retained; those records carry no name, phone number, address or photo and cannot be linked back to you. Full instructions are on our account deletion page. If you cannot reach the app, write to support@saujiapp.com and we will close the account within 30 days.

१०. बालबालिका · 10. Children

Sauji is a business tool intended for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that a child created an account, we delete it.

११. नीति परिवर्तन · 11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you inside the app. Continuing to use Sauji after a change means you accept the updated policy.
